Metabolism Boost Smoothie in 40 Seconds

Metabolism Boost Smoothie

With warm weather well and truly here, it is time to get yourself out and about, enjoying the sunshine. With the imminent arrival of summer, there’s never been a better time to experiment with new ways of getting active. Winter can be a long period of skipping exercise in place of chilling on the couch (hey, there’s no judgement here!) but it’s never too late to refresh your habits. If you’re feeling like your diet needs a kick too, then this smoothie is the ideal thing for you sip on. It’s packed with nutrient dense kale, iron-rich spinach and watercress, along with metabolism boosting goji berries and flax seeds. There’s also a frozen banana popped in there, for added creaminess, and a couple of slices of ginger (which aid indigestion and malabsorption) for an extra special zing. We’re big fans of grabbing a smoothie on the go as it makes an ideal meal option when you’re too busy to sit down and eat. This smoothie will keep you feeling full, while also giving your metabolism a necessary kick.

With the help of probably one of the most popular kitchen appliances around, making yourself a tasty smoothie is incredibly simple and fuss-free. Unlike juicers, which remove fibre, and traditional blenders, which often leave chunks, the NutriBullet’s powerful 600w motor blends in seconds, retaining  all of the delicious flavour, and most importantly, the vital vitamins and minerals you need.

The NutriBullet has revolutionised the world of smoothies and makes a healthy lifestyle much easier to achieve.

There she wrote for a popular online magazine by night, and cooked at the famous Books for Cooks by day. Three years passed, however the pull of home was too strong to bear. So here she is, ready to take Cape Town down, one bite at a time.
