Immune Boost Smoothie in 40 Seconds

We’re slowly easing out of winter and heading towards the glory days of spring and summer – yay! We can’t wait. It’s a good idea to give our bodies an immune boost as we edge towards the finish line, just to make sure we enter the new season at our peak. Our systems have been working hard all winter to stave off colds and flu and that’s no mean feat, so a tasty and nutrient-dense smoothie is an excellent way to refuel the system.

With the help of probably one of the most popular kitchen appliances around, making yourself a tasty smoothie is incredibly simple and fuss-free. Prep time: 5 minutes
Yield: 1 portion
Difficulty: Super easy

2 carrots, peeled and roughly chopped
1 pineapple, peeled and roughly chopped
1 orange, peeled and sliced into rounds
2 slices fresh ginger
½ tsp (2.5 ml) turmeric
½ C (125 ml) water

Place all ingredients into the Nutri-bullet jug and blend for 39 seconds. Serve chilled.
