Description

The most delectable dessert that’ll leave you wanting more!

Ingredients

200 g 70% dark Lindt chocolate, broken into pieces
250 g strawberries, washed
2 egg whites
½ tsp (2.5 ml) vanilla essence
½ C (125 ml) sugar

Instructions

Place the chocolate into a glass bowl and set over a pot of simmering water to melt. Dip the strawberries into the melted chocolate and keep to one side on a sheet of greaseproof paper until set.

Place the egg whites into a glass bowl and whisk with an electric blender until soft peaks begin to form. Add the vanilla essence. Gradually add the sugar while continuing to beat until stiff peaks form and the meringue (marshmallow) is smooth and glossy.

Skewer the strawberries onto a bamboo skewer and dip into the meringue. Toast the marshmallow-dipped strawberries over some coals or use a blowtorch to caramelize the marshmallow topping.
