Description

These berries get a little bit of an attitude by adding some brandy.

Ingredients

120 g berries (we used blueberries)
2 Tbsp (30 ml) brown sugar
a cinnamon stick
star anise
½ C (125 ml) brandy

Instructions

Wash the blueberries.

In a sterilised jar, pack the sugar and then the berries, followed by the cinnamon stick and star anise. Pour brandy over these layers and fill to the top.

Store in a cool, dry place and flip the jar once every day or two. Use after at least a week, but two weeks is always better.
