Description

A champagne-based cocktail is the perfect kick-start to any celebration!

Ingredients

2 Tbsp (30 ml) rose syrup (from speciality spice or baking stores)
a few fresh rose petals (rinsed and washed to remove any potential chemicals)
2 champagne flutes of chilled Lourensford MCC rosé wine

Instructions

Place the rose syrup and the petals into two champagne flutes and top with the chilled rosé wine. Stir lightly to ensure that the rose syrup is mixed through the cocktail.

Tip: I buy rose syrup from Atlas Trading Company in the Bo-Kaap in Cape Town.
