The Fairview Cheese Shop is situated within the cheese tasting area at Fairview – the home of cheese and wine near Paarl. The shop stocks a full range of Jersey cows’ milk and goats milk cheeses with several variations to choose from and sample. There are also new and unusual products available the Vineyard Cheesery, which you can put down to the cheesemakers’ spirit of innovation. Hosts are available to expertly assist with planning your cheeseboard, or to give advice on serving and enjoying the products, choosing from a range of gorgeous, artisanal condiments and delicious accompaniments to stock up your pantry or your fridge. These are curated from local producers and include a range of traditional preserves and sauces. You won’t be able to ignore the smell of freshly baked bread that lingers in the air – bread is baked daily at the Goatshed bakery and a variety of loaves and baguettes are on offer. Be sure to be there early though, as they are only available as long as stocks last and the smell is hard to ignore!
