Bouchard Finlayson Tutored Wine Tasting

Words: Crush

Bouchard Finlayson will be presenting a Tutored Wine Tasting in Constantia at Open Door Restaurant in Constantia on Tuesday 23 May 2017 from 18h00 to 19h30. Themed: ‘Magnum or not: do wines mature better in large format bottles?’, winemaker Chris Albrecht will present 10 wines for tasting, alongside delectable canapés prepared by Open Door.

Winemaker Chris Albrecht recently celebrated his 7th harvest since he started at Bouchard Finlayson in 2011, working alongside Peter Finlayson, the founder of the boutique wine estate. The Tutored Tasting promises to be an elegant, fun and informative experience that will introduce the Hemel-en-Aarde producer’s award-winning wines. In this comparative tasting, Bouchard Finlayson’s revered Pinot Noir and the unique Hannibal red blend will be presented in the standard 750ml bottle versus the larger format of a magnum bottle.

The event costs R300 per person and only 30 guests can be accommodated. Bookings are essential. Guests are welcome to book dinner at the restaurant following the tasting, for their own account.

Situated on the R320 near Hermanus, Bouchard Finlayson vineyard and winery is open for tastings and sales Monday to Friday from 09h00 to 17h00 and on Saturdays from 10h00 to 13h00.
