Words: Jess Spiro

So you’ve made the decision to buy a juicer or a blender, and you’ve made juices and smoothies to your heart’s content. But now what? Before you start to think that you’ve bought a one trick pony, consider these recipes for inspiration.

Let’s not veer away from juices just yet, shall we? If you think you can’t drink another juice then you’ve forgotten about the best kind of juice there is, an alcoholic one. Once you’ve mastered the tomato juice, save it for dinner as a sauce for lightly pickled fish, such as this Mackerel.

With a huge trend of alternatives to dairy, your high speed blender is the perfect tool for homemade nut milks. All you need to remember is to soak it for at least 12 hours, but overnight is best – the longer you soak, the smoother and silkier it will be. Then all that’s left is to drain the nuts and blend! Use for this Nutty Hot Choc with Almond Milk or even in this Vanilla Chai Tea Smoothie, replacing the dairy for the nut milk. It’s delicious and easier for your stomach to digest!
