“Valentine’s dinner at Lacuna Urban Bistro is always a special experience, with a lavish menu in an exquisite setting. We’ve dubbed this years’ experience as Cupid’s Treat for good reason. It is a treat for all of the senses,” says Justin Jonah, Executive Chef at The Maslow Sandton.
A beautifully crafted dinner that speaks to the heart
The Amuse Bouche comprises oysters Rockefeller, lemon caviar, oyster leaves followed by the starter, salmon poke consisting of rice spheres, crispy salmon, Asian leaf, sesame and lime.
Entrée is a homemade roast chicken broth with wild mushrooms, Parmesan crème, pea and soft poached egg. For mains there is a choice between a masterfully prepared beef wellington and sea bass with prawn and mussel bouillabaisse, potato and fennel Rosti with grilled limes.
Dessert is made for sharing; a rich chocolate “soup” with mignardises, meringues and wild berries. T
he gastronomical experience culminates with a cheese board of Karel crumble, watermelon preserves and Melba toast.
