The Dutch restyled
The Dutch, Umhlanga’s much-loved music and tapas bar and favourite spot for those who care about quality, whether it’s the music they listen to or the whiskey they drink, has been given a brand new look and officially opened its doors on Friday, the 4th of March.
The brand new 100-seater space, with tables both inside and out, boasts simple, yet stylish décor. Think classic white tablecloths, elegant lanterns, silver service and a menu inspired by the 70’s. There’s even some old school classics on the dessert offering to tempt those with a sweet tooth.
As a premium entertainment venue, The Dutch welcomes live acts from all genres to the stage, including jazz, funk, pop and more. The live entertainment programme will now also cater for stand-up comedy. With Durban’s live comedy scene heating up, it’s great that another venue is opening up its stage to support the incredible and hilarious comedic talent that calls this East Coast city home.
The Dutch will open on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings and patrons can enjoy scrumptious cocktails and delicious tapas until 7pm, thereafter settle in for a delicious three-course meal from the dinner menu on offer. There will be a cover charge on Friday and Saturday evenings and you can view the top-notch entertainment line-up online at the newly launched website.
Remember that bookings for both dinner and entertainment on the weekends are essential and this can be done online. For Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday evenings book online or call 060 588 5674.
