The South African International Tattoo Convention (SAITC) returns to Cape Town for its highly anticipated 8th annual edition, promising its biggest and most ambitious event yet. Taking place from 13 to 15 March 2026 at DHL Stadium in Green Point, the convention expands into a larger venue with three full floors dedicated to world-class tattooing, art and culture.
Recognised as one of the most important tattoo gatherings on the global convention calendar — and the only event of its kind in Africa — SAITC continues to elevate the standard of professional tattooing across the continent.
Over 130 International Tattoo Artists Under One Roof
The 2026 convention will feature a carefully curated lineup of more than 130 tattoo artists from over 18 countries, each showcasing their unique approach to tattooing across more than 15 genres of modern and traditional styles.

With three floors dedicated entirely to tattoo culture, visitors will have access to an unprecedented concentration of international talent in one space.
Attendees are encouraged to pre-book tattoo sessions directly with participating artists to secure a spot. Limited walk-up appointments will also be available throughout the weekend, offering guests the chance to choose from a selection of flash designs by artists working on the day.
A Weekend of Tattoo Culture, Music and Food
Beyond the tattooing itself, the convention offers a vibrant festival atmosphere designed to appeal to both enthusiasts and newcomers alike.
Across the three-day event, visitors can explore live music performances, food trucks, a curated market of fashion and lifestyle vendors, specialty coffee stalls and a fully stocked beer garden.
The event is family-friendly, although children under the age of five are not permitted inside the tattoo hall.

A Global Meeting Place for Tattoo Culture
One of the defining elements of the South African International Tattoo Convention is its strong sense of community. The event brings together travelling artists, collectors and enthusiasts from around the world, creating a space where stories, ideas and creative inspiration are shared.
Whether visitors are committing to a full-day tattoo session, collecting a small keepsake piece or simply exploring the art and design on display, the convention captures the creative energy that defines the international tattoo scene.
