Mojo Market, a New food & Retail Space Celebrating the Sea Point Lifestyle
We’re super excited about the soon-to-be-lauched Mojo Market in Sea Point. An entire block of retail space will be dedicated to a new, seven-day food and product market in the ever-evolving Regent Road. The Mojo Market, set to launch May 2017, is so named because it has been conceived and developed by the trio (Graeme Robinson, Tara Lerner and Robbie Lessem) who created and own the Mojo Hotel, which is above the market.
Mojo market is a hybrid and eclectic mix of 45 designer retail stalls, 20 food vendors, 2 bars, a daily fresh goods market, a live entertainment stage and a wellness zone. In addition to the permanent vendors, there will also be a diverse weekly market.
With sea views over the Pavilion Pools and the promenade, Mojo Market promises a globally infused food offering from every continent. Traders such as Manga Sushi, Kubu African, Sha Sha Wama, The Mussle Monger, Argies Argentinian Grill, Hokey Poke, What The Fish, Krockette and San-Julian Mexican have already signed up for stalls.
Cape Point Bakery will be baking on site, fresh health juices and salad will be served by Beet Box. In a first for the Atlantic Seaboard, iconic American ice-cream brand Baskin-Robins will be opening shop at the market too. The Mojo Coffee Collective will showcase the very best of Cape Town’s artisanal roasters including Deluxe, Baseline, Hazz, Truth, Origin, Za Cafe and their very own Mojo Blend, which will be roasted on site.
The retail offering focuses largely on local and international producers who are creating fresh, contemporary wares from clothing to gifts, jewellery and homeware.
Confirmed vendors include Flock Clothing, Sexy Bum Bikinis, Shika Clothing, Natasha Collins Jewellery, Henna Art & Beauty, Afrikanus/XYZero, Just a Rumour Jewellery, Totecraft, Vanilla Tree Clothing, Natasha Wood & Lulipulani, Modern and Tribal, Kwaai Gallery, Janet Dobie Womanswear and many more. Kelly Red, of Red Rum fame, will offer a creative hair salon for women and unveil a new barber experience for men called Blades and Bones.
Retailers will trade from 09h00 – 21h00 daily. Food vendors will be serving delicious meals until 22h00 and the bars will stay open until 23h00. Some passionate foodies will trade 24 hours which will be a welcomed addition for hungry night owls and carefree holidaymakers.
Mojo Market is located on Regent Street Sea Point, between Church and Clarens Roads.
