Beau Constantia
Beau Constantia is a boutique wine farm resting on some of the steepest slopes of Constantia Nek.
It boasts lush rolling lawns, gorgeous greenery surrounding the estate and a stunning view of False Bay.
The cool climates are ideal for harvesting their small-batch 2020 Cecily (Viognier) and their 2020 Pierre — a beautiful blend of Sauvignon Blanc and Sémillon. Beau Constantia’s resident restaurant, Chef’s Warehouse, with Chef Ivor Jones at the helm, serves up some of the country’s best food. Magnificent views, incredible food and award-winning wine, what’s not to love?

Buitenverwachting
Buitenverwachting, which incidentally means ‘beyond expectation’, is found on the eastern slopes of Constantiaberg. It’s a truly lovely spot to visit that is steeped in history. Stroll around the winery and admire the views while the kids play on the lawns. Enjoy a blissful wine-tasting experience in their historic wine cellar and savour their delicious charcuterie platters with freshly baked baguettes.
Buitenverwachting is the ideal wine estate to visit for a casual and serene afternoon with friends and family.
Guests are even welcome to roam the estate and enjoy a bottle of their wine on the verdant lawns. If you’re after a more upmarket experience, be sure to book in at their exquisite fine dining restaurant, Beyond.

Constantia Glen
Constantia Glen is known for their outstanding wines and unbeatable panoramic views. We love popping by on a Sunday and settling in for the afternoon. Constantia Glen has an impressive wine tasting menu with seven different options to choose from.
Their Full House Tasting includes a tasting of six white and red wines.
Other tasting options worth trying is their Flagship Tasting, as well as their Van Wyk Tasting, where you get to sample their Riesling, Chenin Blanc and Syrah. For those who love Sauvignon Blanc, they also have a must-try Serious about Sauvignon Tasting.
Good to know: they have a wine club membership, which comes with a free Flagship wine tasting upon visit.

Constantia Uitsig
Constantia Uitsig is another valley wine estate that is steeped in history. It has been producing wine for over 300 years and has been a favourite of many famous folk from history, including Napoleon Bonaparte. This gorgeous estate houses world-class wines that are a reflection of their rich heritage. Wine cellar tours at Constantia Uitsig are quite informative as they guide you through the production of their wines.
You’ll also get to indulge your senses with their chocolate and wine pairing as you take in the picturesque gardens.
And should you get hungry, Constantia Uitsig has a number of onsite restaurants to choose from. There are several dining options onsite from The Blockhouse Kitchen, which serves contemporary, seasonal food in a chic setting, as well as La Grotto Ristorante, serving authentic Italian food. If you’re after something more casual, meander through the Heritage Market which houses Sushibox, Kristen’s Kickass Ice Cream, Aegir Brewery and The Nest. Uitsig is also home to a sophisticated dirt bike track for BMX enthusiasts, mountain bikers and cyclocross.

Eagles’ Nest
Stretched across an impressive sweep of land Eagles’ Nest has some of the most expansive views of all the Constantia wine farms. They offer snacks and platters from the tasting room, which can also be enjoyed on the lush lawns outside which overlook the forest. Their wine tasting offers a variety of five wines, including their Viognier, Merlot and Shiraz. We’d recommend ordering their platter pairings, which are served in a lush garden setting.
Good to know: they offer wine tasting at R95 per person.

Groot Constantia
Groot Constantia is not only big in size but in stature too and is the oldest wine producing farm in the Cape Not only does it boast a wide array of award-winning wines but also two restaurants — Simons and Jonkershuis. There are a number of ways to experience all that the farm has to offer including an Iziko Museum tour, wine and handcrafted chocolate pairing and a guided or self-guided cellar tour which comes with an virtual auditory guide.

Klein Constantia

Known for being one of the most beautiful wine farms to visit, this estate is lush and immaculate.
Klein Constantia has four signature tastings with a variety of quality wines. From their iconic Vin de Constance Vertical Tasting (two vintages) to their themed Sauvignon Blanc Story tasting, you won’t be disappointed.

Steenberg Farm has five wine tasting experiences, their Flagship Tasting offers a variety of six wines and from their impressive range. They also have a private tasting experience, catering to larger groups and includes their Steenberg 1682 Pinot Noir Cap Classique, as well as five wines from their Flagship Collection. Be sure to book in for lunch at Tryn restaurant while you’re there.
