Sea View Restaurants Cape Town – Atlantic Seaboard
Eating in Mouille Point just hits differently than eating in other parts of town. You’ve got the incredible sea views, the crisp fresh air, and that relaxing atmosphere. Bobo’s is right in the middle of that, good food, great views and an ambience that is a stylish contemporary take on old-world comfort. The menu caters everyone’s needs, to meat-eaters to vegetarians and vegans alike, so everyone leaves happy.

This Sea Point restaurant has been around for some time and it’s fabulous views over the promenade and Italian fare and seafood inspired menu keep it a popular choice for visitors and locals alike.

Lily’s seems to have amassed a cult following instantly. This probably has something to do with the unbeatable combination of good food, great location and unbeatable sea views.

Good to know: They do breakfast, as well as lunch and dinner but we like coming here for their LFC (Lily’s fried chicken).

This casual eatery located on the Sea Point promenade (previously La Vie) has always been a popular spot for sundowners and a good pizza. They serve breakfast, lunch and dinner and are also pooch friendly, so you can stop off mid walk for refreshments.

Hang out with your toes literally in the sand at this iconic Cape Town restaurant. The Grand is the place to be when you’re keen to let your hair down and have a little fun but the food itself is pretty good too. Expect to find lots of fresh, well-prepared seafood, along with crispy-based pizzas and steaks.

Azure at The 12 Apostles
Admittedly, you can’t technically walk from the beach to Azure but, with sea views like theirs, what kind of list would this be if we didn’t include them? If you’re looking for a slightly more high end ‘beachy’ dinner, this is it. The menus on offer are a tasting and a la carte menu, depending on what you feel like.

Good to know: The accompanying Leopard Bar and Cafe Grill offer a laid-back alternative, in case you’re not in the mood for a full on foodie affair.

There literally aren’t any restaurants in Camps Bay that don’t boast a great view – it’s a given. What we love about Bilboa though is the stylish look (signature Kove Collection) combined with really efficient service and great food.

Bungalow is the hang out for those who want to see and be seen. Occupying what once was La Med (back in the OLD days), the spot is really a well-loved haunt for locals. These days the restaurant has an amazing deck that overlooks the sea with awesomely comfy beds. You’ll need to kick off your shoes (its the rules) and then lie back, snack on tasty food and take in an incredible Cape Town sunset.

TIGER’S MILK, Camps Bay
Tiger’s Milk has become synonymous with a chilled cool and laid-back vibe and the Camps Bay edition is no different. With million-dollar views of the ocean, it’s the perfect spot for anything you have planned – be it a casual date, drinks with mates or a quick lunch. The menu is the same at all branches with delish burgers salads and pizzas, craft beers and wine. Definitely one of our favourite Camps Bay restaurants.

Chapman’s Peak Hotel
The iconic Chapman’s Peak Hotel is simply one of the best stalwarts beach-bound restaurants we have. If you’re hosting out of towners, your first port of call should always be Chapman’s Peak. Between the endless sea views and killer prawn and calamari combos, you won’t have a reason to go anywhere else.

Dunes is another Cape Town institution and really is the all-round package – great view, varied and well-priced menu and a great play area for kids that is visible from most tables. It gets busy so expect a lot of people but also a great laid-back vibe and friendly service.

Harbour House Kalk Bay
The original Harbour House that started it all is this one in Kalk Bay. The original is best in this case, as the Kalk Bay branch has an almost uninterrupted sea view thanks to their floor to ceiling glass windows. Their food steals the show, however, and when prawns are off the red list be sure to order the prawn cocktail. It’s timeless for a reason.

Chefs Warehouse at Tintswalo Atlantic
There are fewer places where you’re going to get closer to the sea than at Tintswalo Atlantic. Here, the waves lap gently against the rocks that are home to the hotel and restaurant’s outdoor deck. Tables overlook the spectacular view from all angles and the restaurant’s chic curated interior is both stylish and comfortable. This setting is really ideal for a special or celebratory occasion.

Sea View Restaurants Cape Town – West Coast
As close to a restaurant on the beach as possible, Blowfish was something of an insider’s secret for Milnerton locals. Now, it’s almost a no-brainer to hop in the car and drive out there for a scenic view and for a delicious seafood meal.

If you are looking for somewhere to take the family, Onse Huisie is a great choice. Located right on the beach in Bloubergstrand, this restaurant is an institution in the area. It’s a thatched fisherman’s style cottage restaurant and the menu is full of South African inspired favourites. There is a fabulous entertainment and play area for kids so you can kick back with a cold beer or glass of wine and take in the scenery.

On the Rocks
As the name suggests, this restaurant really is one of the closest you can get to sea. It is literally situated right on the shoreline of Bloubergstrand and boasts one of the best views in the city and of Table Mountain. They serve breakfast lunch and dinner and recently added The Hatch, a coffee window that opens at 07h00 and serves coffee and pastries to passing walkers. Inspired!
