With a focus on innovative and exciting desserts, the inspiration for Plan B Dessertery comes from internationally popular street food desserts.
Foods that are easy to hold, that you don’t have to sit down with a knife and fork to eat. Their bubble waffles originate from Hong Kong, and churros and tacos from Mexico.
The fourth in a chain of Plan B Dessertery stores to open, The Zone @ Rosebank branch is the first to hit Joburg, giving patrons a unique opportunity to try these fun desserts. Each Bubble Waffle, taco, sugar cone and churro is made fresh while you wait and is topped with a variety of delicious treats to satisfy even the sweetest tooth.
“We’re really excited to introduce this fun concept to Jo’burg,” says Carla Fitton, Franchisee for Plan B Dessertery The Zone @ Rosebank. “Werner, my husband, and I loved the concept when we first discovered it in Durban, and we couldn’t wait to open our own branch here!”
Quality is key at Plan B Dessertery
Patrons to Plan B Dessertery will appreciate the conscious approach to fresh, delicious produce and local suppliers, explains Fitton: “We take extra care to make sure that each and every bubble waffle, churro or taco is perfection! Each day, we carefully check batters, mixtures and machines to serve only the best quality desserts.”
Warm waffles and cinnamon sugar churros aside, Plan B Dessertery has also firmly placed itself on the coffee map, offering a unique coffee blend from Terbodore Coffee, that is 100% Arabica from Brazil, Uganda and Ethiopia. The blend is roasted in the KwaZulu-Natal Midlands especially for the group.
Another local quirk is the bottled water. Covered in unique illustrations from Durban designers, ‘it’s not made in China’ filtered water is sure to make anybody smile who collects a bottle.
