Children can Become Five Star Chefs for their Birthday at The Table Bay

Mini Chefs Workshops

Aspiring young cooks can now celebrate their birthdays as five-star chefs at one of Cape Town’s most prestigious hotels. Buoyed by demand, The Table Bay has extended its popular Mini Chefs Workshops to young people keen to do something deliciously different for their birthday parties.

What is the Mini Chef Birthday Party?

The Mini Chef Birthday Parties combine food, fun and learning in inspiring and tasty ways. The interactive experiences with The Table Bay’s expert culinary team are designed to open children’s eyes to the wonder of food and exciting cooking techniques.

Children will prepare something special during a two-hour cooking party and will get to take home what they have prepared. From chocolate tempering methods, different dough techniques and cake icing and decorating to hot dish preparation and pastries; young chefs can look forward to a journey of discovery with their friends. The Mini Chefs Birthday parties are suitable for birthday boys and girls aged between 6 and 12 years.

“A Mini Chefs Birthday Party is a celebration of food, food and friendship. While living their dream to be a master chef in a working kitchen, children will learn meaningful skills that they will use and get value from throughout their lives. With an emphasis on fun, we go back to basics to teach young chefs about cooking for good health and environmental sustainability, as well safety in the kitchen,” says Sarah Prins, the PR Manager at The Table Bay.
