Issue 56 is Live
Spring is an odd season for us – the trees and flowers have begun to bloom full of the promise of renewal, we have days full of happy, shiny sun, but yet still get caught unawares with the odd spring shower and chilly wind. Spring is a bit like that indecisive person at the buffet line that we kind of want to elbow out of the way in order to welcome summer in. Until such time as that happens though, we are keeping ourselves content with food and activities that encourage us to get our sun-starved pins outdoors. This month’s covershot of bone-sliding ribs comes courtesy of Karl Tessendorf in our Meet the Meat feature. Fire up the grill and invite your friends around for the next RWC fixture – present these ribs and they’ll love you forever. Also check out our Big Bad Burger feature with Chef Rudi Liebenberg at the Belmond Mount Nelson, they range from a beefy burger with the works, to a vegan chickpea version. This month’s wine cellar features wineries that have picnic spots, so take a look for ideas for a leisurely weekend activity.
If you follow a LCHF lifestyle you definitely don’t want to miss our spring high tea spread full of fabulously pretty sweet treats. Since October is Breast Cancer Awareness month, perhaps you’ll be inspired to host your very own Cuppa for CANSA tea party and raise funds for this very worthy cause.
