Expect an eclectic menu offering a few quirky surprises. Winter Specials tempt with Beef Fillet with creamy Cognac pepper sauce and Truffle fries, Braised Oxtail Casserole, Sole Meunière and Braised Chicken breast. Beautiful wine selections are also on offer, by the glass and bottle.

The Bungalow


The Bungalow’s extraordinary setting invites you to get up close and personal in the elegant glow of Cape Town’s signature sunset over the sea with a splash of golden bubbly before tucking into a hearty selection of Winter Specials.

The winter special menu items include fragrant Lamb Curry, Red Wine Oxtail and Confit of Duck Leg. On the Winter Set Menu, select two or three courses with the choice of Mussels Provencal, Chicken Liver Peri-Peri and Grilled Haloumi for Starters. Den Anker – V&A Waterfront

Den Anker is a Cape Town and Waterfront stalwart. The restaurant is known for its amazing mussels and selection of craft beers but it’s so much more than that. This year the restaurant celebrates 25 years at the Waterfront, and for a CPT establishment, that’s a veritable lifetime! Celebrate their milestone this winter with a super special – five winter meals for R125 each. Three of these options include fish and frites, a mussel bowl with frites, and sirloin with café de Paris butter and frites. Each meal also comes with a selection of a draught: Duvel, La Chouffe or Liefmans Fruitesse.

Year-End Function Venues in Cape Town

Paranga’s luxurious interior set on Camps Bay’s platinum mile is matched by its culinary benchmark dishes. Winter Specials include Venison Fillet in a red wine jus, Grilled Prawns with citrus rice and Grilled Rump as well as two and three-course set menus. The Winter Set Menu caters for two courses at R240 per person and three courses at R290 per person.

Choose from a Venison Carpaccio or Seafood Chowder to start with a vegetarian option on offer as well. Mains offer pan roasted Hake, Grilled Sirloin or spring pea Risotto, complemented by either passion fruit tart or a caramel chocolate ice cream temptation. A special Winter wine list offers wine specials to enhance the flavour.

One of the things we love about winter is the gorgeous sunsets. Join Bilboa on the Camps Bay strip to soak up the views while tucking into their amazing winter restaurant specials. On offer is a 2 course or 3-course menu.

Starter options include Za’atar spring rolls, roasted red pepper hummus and lentil soup with Ras El Hanout. Mains offer beef skewers, spiced fried chicken, finished off with either semolina cake or lemon and orange blossom posset. Specials are offered on the wine list for the perfect pairings.

Visitors to the V&A Waterfront are spoilt for choice when it comes to places to eat but if you are looking for a more upmarket dining experience, then Firefish is it. Their winter specials menu follows the format of the regular menu and is a blend of meat and seafood dishes, with an Asian fusion flair. The winter menu offers some really great value for money options.

The portions are generous and include choices such as piping hot, steamed black Mussels in wine and cream, crispy prawns and battered fish or six of the freshest oysters. Alternative options include succulent burgers and 8-piece & 16-piece sushi plates. Pair your meal with Firefish wine specials to complement every choice.

Tjing Tjiing Momiji

Experience something really special at Tjing Tjing Momiji this winter. Their 7-course Kaiseki menu is available at the special price of R595 pp until the end of August and it really is a must-do. The menu is carefully crafted by chef Christi Semczyszyn and is a meticulous fusion of Japanese concepts and flavours with a distinctly local twist. The menu will wow you course-for-course and the beef course may just make you weep with joy. The dining space is calm and serene and the team are incredibly adept at what they do. One of our fav experiences this year so far.

Janse & Co is an ideal option for those wanting a unique and authentic casual fine dining experience that combines beautiful surroundings, an innovative ingredient-led menu, and excellent service. This local favourite has a delicious two or three-course winter lunch menu running every week for the chilly season. The menu includes various items per course with at least one vegetarian dish to choose from. Items include Patagonian pan-fried calamari with harissa aioli, grass-fed beef burgers with mature cheddar and rustic cut fries, vegan herb risotto with romesco sauce and truffled wild mushrooms and a choice of dessert.

This vibey restaurant on Bree is offering up a really sweet winter special deal. ‘The All Rounder’ comprises of a lobster bisque, a mini version of the lobster roll with a prawn substitution, a 70g beef and maple-glazed bacon slider and fries. The prawn roll is delicious, served on a New York style brioche bun, which is made to sweet-buttery perfection, and the mini-slider showcases Burger & Lobster’s legendary burger goodness. They also have a 2-for-1 happy hour special on selected beers, wine and cocktails between 16h00 and 19h00 daily.
