Fresh and Floral Wilderer Rose Water Gin

Words: Crush

Wilderer Distillery is known for its award-winning spirits and is one of the most prestigious producers of Grappa, Eaux de Vie and Gin worldwide. The Wilderer team refuses to compromise when it comes to the integrity of their products. This is why every step in the process of creating their award-winning products is carefully monitored and completed with meticulous attention to detail. Perhaps just one of the reasons why the new Wilderer Rose Water Gin already won awards even before it was even released!

Award Winning Wilderer Spirits

Wilderer produces some of the finest Grappa from the best available Muscat, Pinotage and Shiraz grapes in South Africa. Matured in French oak, these are your perfect companion to espresso.

Other than their well-known grappas, Wilderer also enjoys the distinction of producing South Africa’s most premium gins including their Fynbos Gin and the latest addition, Rose Water Gin.

Scooping Awards

Wilderer is not only South Africa’s first private distillery, but also the most awarded, with over 100 international medals and awards, including many Gold and Double Gold Medals.

The new lady on the block, Wilderer Rose Water Gin, won two gold medals before it was released to market – a true testament to the Wilderer standard.

What to Expect from the Rose Water Gin

Always staying on the front-line of innovation, maestro distiller, Johan Monnig, carefully infuses fresh rose petals along with juniper, cinnamon, cardamom and many more botanicals to naturally recreate Turkish Delight.

Expect a well-balanced and subtle rose flavour with a complex background of juniper and spice.

The Rose Water Gin is as fresh and floral as a breath of spring air and is available in 500ml and 1L.

The Tasting Room

In the tasting room at Wilderer Estate / Pappa Grappa (on the R45 – Simondium road / Paarl), you can taste and buy all Wilderer’s fine spirits. The restaurant has become one of the most loved in the Winelands and serves specialities such as Flammkuchen, Springbok Ravioli, fresh fish, juicy steaks and the best pizza in town. | Facebook | Instagram
