The Creamery Café in Newlands

The Creamery has firmly fixed its name into the hearts of ice cream lovers all over Cape Town. Making and selling natural ice cream made by hand from the freshest ingredients sourced from local family farms.

Their creamy delights can be found at many Cape Town markets as well as some of the Cape’s best loved stores and restaurants. To add to this impressive repertoire, they have recently opened The Creamery Café in Newlands. Yes, that’s a café that is dedicated purely to the indulgent frozen dessert.

Perfectly placed in the leafy suburb of Newlands, The Creamery Café is a welcome sight on a hot day. Sit on the sidewalk or inside the happy, ice cream-coloured space.

The ice cream flavours change according to the season and the time of year. You’ll find unusual flavours from Coconut Rice Pudding, Naartjie Choc Chip and Rosetta Roastery Coffee, to the more traditional 65% Chocolate, Farm Cream and Mint (it tastes just like the freshly picked herb and far from that artificial green ice cream we’re used to). You can also indulge in the sundaes and desserts on the menu – think chocolate brownies with a scoop of your choice, waffles, and our favourite, the banana split with brûléed banana, almonds and caramel sauce.

If you love ice cream, there’s no reason why you shouldn’t visit The Creamery Café.
