Now in its fourth year, the Wolftrap Steakhouse Championship returns to crown another winner. During the month of April anyone can vote for their favourite steakhouse, via Facebook and SMS, and stand a chance to win fabulous prizes containing The Wolftrap wines. Then, in May, the 20 steakhouses that were the highest placed move into the second round of the competition. These 20 are visited (unannounced) by our team of expert judges, led by Pete Goffe-Wood, well-known MasterChef judge. The judges will identify the best five from the 20, and these will be revisited to see which truly is the Steakhouse Champion. The Wolftrap Steakhouse Champion for 2016 will then be announced at the Awards Event hosted by last year’s winner, Little Havana in Umhlanga Rocks, Kwazulu Natal, in June.
All voting takes place on the Facebook page and via SMS to 32845. Each voter is allowed one Facebook vote and one SMS vote per day during the month of April. A list of steakhouses is available on the Facebook voting page. Should a favourite steakhouse not be on the list, it can be added to the list if the steakhouse complies with the competition’s specifications.
