Embrace your Inner Artist at Bisque-Bah Ceramics at Imhoff Farm, Kommetjie

If you are looking for a fun and creative way to spend an afternoon, head out to Bisque-bah Ceramic Painting Studio at Imhoff Farm. This lovely space, owned and operated by Lousie Casserley, is a place where you can explore your artistic side, even if you think you don’t have one!

Choosing your Ceramic

Firstly, you’ll choose your base piece from a selection of unfired ceramic items. There is literally something for everyone – from plates to bowls, vases, mugs, trinket bowls, platters and more. The idea is that whatever you make is a functional piece for your home, not something that is going to end up gathering dust.

Choose your Style

There are a number of ways you can create your masterpiece, from tracing a pattern to follow to freestyling or an innovative and fun bubble technique.

The fun part is blowing soapy paint bubbles onto your ceramic piece to create a stunning layered pattern.

Choose your Colours

Once you’ve chosen the style you want to create you’ll choose a colour palette of paints and begin with your creation. Whatever you decide on, Louise and her assistant Sylvia will help you to create something bespoke and beautiful and the experience really is a lot of fun.

Small Sessions at Bisque-bah Studio

The Bisque-bah studio is situated in a quiet corner courtyard with a beautiful window view out of the farm and beyond. What’s lovely about it is that it seats a maximum of 10 people, so it’s an intimate session where you will get assistance from the ever-patient Lousie and Syliva. Painters of any age are welcome.

Once you are done painting, your piece will be glazed and fired on-site with a 2-3 week collection time.

Drop-in painting is welcome, however, this is subject to seating availability and pre-booking is highly recommended. Book your session at Bisque-Bah today for a great, interactive day out.
