DIY Personalised Gold Mugs
With winter on the way, the amount of tea, coffee and hot chocolate you’ll be drinking is set to rise – it’s the best way to keep warm! Instead of using the same old cup, make your next tea time a little more sparkly with this simple guide to making your own gold mug. It’s the perfect indoor activity if you’re hiding away from the rainy weather that’s set in, or need a personal, inexpensive gift for a friend. Best part about it is that anyone can do it, so get everyone involved – even the kids!
What you’ll need…
one metallic gold Sharpie or Sharpie in a colour of your choice
white ceramic mugs
With a steady hand, draw the design on the mug. There are really no rules with this one, go wild and draw any design you can think of. We’re also fond of a cheeky slogan! If the ink dries out, simply shake the marker to help the ink along. Once the design is complete, all you have to do is bake the mug in a preheated oven for 20 minutes at 180 ℃ to set the Sharpie marker.
If you make a mistake, you can easily wipe it away with nail polish remover. Be aware that these mugs are not dishwasher safe though, so hand wash only!
When you’re done with your new, beautiful mug why not warm yourself up with decadent hot chocolate or even an indulgent mug cake?
I loved the pattern!
