Café Grill’s conservatory-style restaurant open for summer

The Twelve Apostles Hotel & Spa’s new conservatory-style Café Grill restaurant is open for business, boasting a fresh new look and a mouth-watering menu to match. Diners looking for something wholesome, but not heavy, for breakfast, lunch and dinner will not be disappointed.

Executive Chef Christo Pretorius, one of the Western Cape’s culinary stars, has made his mark with inventive contemporary South African menus and has once again excelled in revitalising the Café Grill menu, to echo the restaurant’s contemporary new look. The menu illustrates a collaborative effort between Chef Christo and Bea Tollman, owner and president of the Red Carnation Hotel Group, of which the Twelve Apostles is a member. “Mrs T. gave me a lot of ideas which I worked with and incorporated into her philosophy of making our guests feel at home with comforting ‘soul food’,” says Chef Christo.

New to the menu is the ‘Cake of the Day’; two sumptuously decadent options offered daily, including carrot cake, chocolate cake, red velvet cake and of course, Mrs Tollman’s famous cheesecake køb cialis. “New signature dishes include the chicken cobb salad, ostrich burger, the RCH club sandwich and once again from Mrs Tollman, her famous fish curry,” Chef Christo adds.

Chef Christo is committed to sustainability in his restaurant and only uses ‘in- season’ produce in his kitchen. “It just makes sense to me to cook seasonal and sustainable,” Christo says. “My menus are planned around seasonal ingredients and we ONLY use sustainable fish from the WWF SASSI Green List for Sustainable Seafood.” So eating at the new Café Grill is good for the soul as well as the environment. The Café Grill is open daily from 07h00.
