Shiver Me Timbers! Adventure Pirate Golf at Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate
For an all round fun Overberg afternoon, visit Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate and play a round of pirate adventure golf! The wine estate in Hermanus is home to an 18-hole mini golf course, themed with Jack Sparrow flair complete with smoking cannons, a pirate ship, characters and more. Kids will love the interactivity of it and there are sure to be laughs, with a hint of friendly competitiveness from hobby golfers along the way.
ADVENTURE PIRATE GOLF AT BENGUELA COVE LAGOON WINE ESTATE
The course is open 7-days a week and offers families and friends a chance for a fun day out. Pick up your putter and ball at the check-in counter and even get into the spirit with a pirate hat, swashbuckling sword or an eyepatch (although this may play havoc with your handicap!). When you’ve dolled up, head out onto the course and show your stuff.
TUCK IN AT BLACKBEARD’S DINER
Once you’ve played the course and determined who’s the savviest sailor of the seven seas, you will no doubt have worked up an appetite. Blackbeard’s Diner is located at the mini golf course and serves up yummy diner style food. We highly recommend the burger, a beefy choice with a side of chips, although the mini pirates will probably go right for ice cream and slush puppies!
MAKE IT A PARTY!
If you live in the area and are planning a party, there are various tailor-made packages for celebrations. The Jolly Roger party package, priced at R220 per child, includes themed invitations, adventurous tea parties in a private party room, a party host, certificates and thank you letter for little pirates. For busy moms, this is an excellent way to hand over all the preparation and just arrive for a day of organised fun!
Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate has so much on offer, from the restaurant Moody Lagoon for a sophisticated meal to wine pairing options, vineyard and cellar tours and more. It is the perfect place for couples, families and friends to spend the day enjoying amazing views, great food and wine, and of course if you have the sea legs for it – a round of Adventure Pirate Golf.
