Get a Taste for the JAZZ™ Sensation

Words: Crush

There’s that old saying about an apple a day keeping the doctor away, so we know that they’re good for us. Often though, the things that are good for us don’t bowl us over with flavour, but that’s where JAZZ™ apples come out on top. This unique brand of apple is sweet and tangy and is a refreshing flavour explosion!

JAZZTM apples were first born in beautiful New Zealand orchards, following a natural union of Royal Gala and Braeburn varieties. The result is a crisp, juicy and flavoursome apple that makes for a delicious snack on its own but also cooks beautifully. Here in South Africa, JAZZTM apples are grown in sun-drenched orchards under the watchful eye of a team of passionate growers who ensure that only the very best make it to market.

Unique JAZZTM apples have a naturally durable, firm skin, dense flesh and a sweet and delicious flavour. They don’t only taste great but are also low GI, so release a slow, steady amount of sugar into the bloodstream. They are also a source of Vitamin C, contain plenty of fibre and are rich in antioxidants – they really are one of the original power foods. That ‘apple a day’ saying carries some weight!

JAZZTM apples are even more unique because they don’t bruise easily and remain fresh for longer. They are best served cold, so keep in your fridge and grab as a great on-the-go snack. If you’re feeling creative, try one of these tasty and easy-to-prepare recipes that use the unique flavour of JAZZTM apples to enhance the dish.
