Benguela on Main wins a World Luxury Restaurant Award

On Saturday, 18 June the World Luxury Restaurant Awards 2016 gala awards ceremony took place in Switzerland and Benguela on Main was named the winner of the ‘Eclectic (International) Cuisine’ award.

Also ranked as a finalist in the category of ‘Fine Dining Cuisine’, the Benguela on Main team is thrilled to have achieved this within the first year of opening. Headed by Executive Chef, Jean Delport, his creative flare and knack for pairing ingredients and flavours together has proved to take guests on a fine dining journey, time and time again.

Situated in Somerset West on the corner of Main Road and Coronation Avenue, Benguela on Main caters for the ordinary looking for a sophisticated and unique dining experience. As dishes on the chef’s tasting menu are paired perfectly with local South African wines, as well as Benguela Cove wines from Benguela Cove Lagoon Wine Estate in Walker Bay, Hermanus.
