A Senses-evoking Gastronomical Journey for Valentine’s Day
Treat your special someone to a unique experience this Valentines Day by booking seats at the Table Bay’s special event dinner, in partnership with Frazer Parfum. Together they have designed a senses-evoking gastronomical journey that will result in the most alluring Valentines experience to date.
Valentines promises to be an encompassing, senses-evoking experience in every sense at the prestigious Table Bay at the Victoria & Alfred Waterfront. The hotel’s Executive Chef, Jocelyn Myers-Adams, in her unwavering pursuit to create interactive taste experiences designed to instil lasting memories, is collaborating with Cape Town based bespoke fragrance producer, Tammy Frazer, to put together a sensory journey of tastes, flavours and scents for couples celebrating Valentines 2016 at the hotel.
The beautifully-tailored Valentines dinner, to be hosted on Sunday, 14 February 2016, will feature a sumptuous six stage journey, with each milestone spectacularly paired with invigorating fresh and natural scents to enhance the flavours of the food and complete the sensory experience.
Smell acts in tandem with taste to identify food flavours and helps people to appreciate the enticing flavours of food and drink. The scents selected by Frazer have been chosen to do just that. The scents are delivered in various ways to define and accentuate how they are perceived while complementing the flavours and aromas of the food. Guests will be given a small card at each stage illustrating the scent journey. From a cool hand towel and a hand dip to a fragrance-spritzed stick of candy floss and vapour, the way in which the scents are delivered is carefully thought out to enhance the sensory experience.
Booking for Valentines dinner is essential. Seats at the Valentines dinner will be limited to preserve the intimate ambience of the event.
