Winter Taste Sensations At The Terra del Capo Antipasti Bar

The Terra del Capo Antipasto Bar is located at Anthonij Rupert Wyne, in the heart of Franschhoek. The restaurant is situated directly below The Terra del Capo Tasting Room. The popular restaurant is well renowned throughout the area, for their use of fresh local produce, harvested from the surrounding areas. The produce is used in the preparation of every dish.

Sourcing local produce means that they support the community and place emphasis on the quality, as well as the delivery, of each meal. This means that the staff at The Terra Del Capo Antipasti Bar constantly deliver both hot and cold dishes at an incredibly high standard, which is a quality that the visitors have become accustomed to throughout the years.

The restaurant has launched their menu for this winter, which features a mouth-watering assortment of delectable dishes that will help keep you feeling cosy and comfortable, during the cold period. Included in the lineup, are a handful of new dishes as well as some popular signature dishes.

Inspired by regional produce from the winelands, visitors can choose from a selection of delicious hot and cold Antipasti dishes, perfectly paired with wines from the Protea, L’Ormarins and Terra del Capo ranges.

The cold selection includes a variety of choices, such as the smoked Burrata with roasted carrots, pickled beetroot, candied hazelnuts and nasturtium leaves. The savoury Artichoke Pannacotta served with pickled Mushrooms, Herbs and Croutons. Another favourite is the cured, estate-raised Angus Beef, which is served with wild rocket, fermented black garlic and squid ink aioli, pine nuts and Parmesan.

In contrast to this, the hot dishes include popular dishes, like the crunchy zucchini fries with garlic aioli. ‘Skilpadjies’ – a South African favourite. The braised Lamb Arancini is served with, a tantalising homemade tomato chutney. The crispy fried calamari is accompanied with parsley and caper Aaioli. Similarly, the tasty Salsiccia Meatballs served in a marinara sauce, is guaranteed to hit the spot!
