Boschendal has been in the winemaking business for over 300 years, and cumulatively this experience has produced an extensive range of wines that represent the best the Cape has to offer. Currently they produce 6 ranges which include – The Pavillion, The Classic Collection, the 1685 Series, The Reserve Collection, The Elgin Series and a selection of MCC’s.

There are a number of ways to get to the know the Boschendal range and of course, the most interesting way will always be at the source. For this reason Boschendal offers different ways to enjoy wine tasting, starting at the Wine Tasting Centre itself. Situated under the shade of beautiful, majestic oak trees, you can find a spot and enjoy an afternoon of sipping and enjoying the various wines on offer. The hosts and hostesses at the wine tasting room are knowledgeable and friendly and will help you find the wine that fits your palate perfectly.

To actually understand the winemaking process, book a cellar tour; here a guide will take you on tour through the process explaining just how that perfect glass of wine is created. Marvel at the science behind the process and learn just how that Chardonnay makes it into you glass to accompany your summer lunch.

For those looking to taste wine in a totally different way, you can opt to take your wine tasting by horse-drawn carriage! Percheron Mufasa and Clydesdale Mr Parker will be at your service and will take you on a peaceful meander through the estate. Sip on the estate’s various wines as you experience the beauty of the surrounding grounds.

For the slightly more adventurous, let the team of Boschendal guides take your wine tasting right back to its roots – literally! Book a vineyard tour and see the grapes right from were they start at ground level. You will then be taken all the way up to the most magnificent viewpoint, a secret location that overlooks the entire estate and has a view that will leave you utterly breathless.

A real treat that should not be missed is the MCC and chocolate pairing. The estate’s MCC’s are paired with different flavoured chocolates which pick up notes of the wine and take the tasting to a different level.
