Cabernet Sauvignon Merlot

Waverly Hills

Now here is a farm worth the drive all the way out to Tulbagh, well actually, it’s a little further along the road that leads to Ceres just past the little town of Wolseley.

The farm has become known for producing top quality organic wines but they also make very good organic olive products and the restaurant on the hillside is not to be missed.

Waverley Hills is the proud winner of the Best Of Wine Tourism for Sustainable Wine Tourism Practices in 2011 and 2012 and continue to be committed to conservation and sustainable practices.

On the nose: balanced wine shows aromas of black cherry, blackcurrant, mint and chocolate.

On the palate: soft with ripe tannins and a long follow through of chocolate, ripe fruit and mocha. the interesting thing about this blend is that 10% Cabernet Sauvignon from the younger 2012 vintage was blended in, resulting in extra fresh fruit flavours.
