The Community Kitchen

Words: Crush

Tired of the same foodie faces saturating your favourite markets? Looking for something to snack on that’s fresh, new and local? The Community Kitchen (TCK) aims to support and promote the growth of small food manufacturers in and around Cape Town. Headed by Stephanie Bosman and Ricki Allardice, TCK facilitate the sale of these products at various markets, but are always on the lookout for new talent with a passion for creating tasty treats.

By choosing to represent up-and-coming brands that offer exciting and unique products, The Community Kitchen offers an alternative to what is available in the average grocery store — and ensuring that bigger players in the industry don’t dominate the market. All about the home cooks, whose food businesses are their passion and livelihood, The Community Kitchen aims to integrate the small business back into mainstream markets by boosting popularity for amazing manufacturers including Winston & Julia chocolate, Raw Earth energy bars, Kommetjie Kitchen hot sauce as well as their own fynbos honey that’s both organic and badger-friendly!

Find The Community Kitchen at the Market at the Palms on Saturdays, the Tokai Forest Market on Sunday and the Tyisa Nabanye market in Tamboerskloof every second Sunday.
