The 19 white-washed farm cottages (all newly renovated) are set amidst sprawling green lawns while surrounded by the beauty of the Akkedisberg mountains. All rooms are equipped with tea & coffee making facilities as well as a wood-burning fireplace to keep you cosy during a winter-stay.

Three of the units are self-catering family cottages with two en suite rooms each for those wanting to bring the family or share with friends.

Manor House, the on-site restaurant, has become well-known for its excellent country cooking, unique mid-century modern décor and eclectic art collection – all set & served against those majestic mountain views.

Described by the Inside Guide as ‘the Jewel of the Overberg’ and included in the 2019 Gourmet Guide as one of SA’s top 75 restaurants, be sure to reserve a table when booking your stay at the farm.

Open for lunch & dinner Thursday – Saturday, and for lunch on Sunday (breakfast served all week). Lunch and/or dinner can also be arranged Monday-Wednesday for groups of 15+.

WHAT TO DO DURING YOUR STANFORD VALLEY GUEST FARM STAY

Go for long walks on the fynbos-trails or take your mountain-bike for a scenic spin and end the day with a sunset swim in the large dam surrounded by beautiful mountain views.

Visit the neighbours: Raka, for a tasting of their award-winning wines or Kleinrivier Cheese Farm, well-known for their superb cheeses, or Panthera Africa, the famous big cat sanctuary.

Join a boat-cruise down the river in Stanford, explore the historic town (only a five minute drive away) and visit Birkenhead Breweries to sample their variety of beers.

Stanford Valley is also the perfect base from where to explore the best of the Overberg – from whale watching in Hermanus to visiting the southernmost tip of Africa in Agulhas.
