“Part myth-busting scientific thriller, part mouth-watering cookbook – the goal of The Real Meal Revolution is to change your life by teaching you how to take charge of your weight and your health through the way you eat.”
Big words taken from the cover of this fascinating book which very aptly describes the contents. It is written in the gripping style of a thriller and is really thought provoking while tempting you with delicious looking dishes.
Having been indoctrinated for so long as to how bad butter and animal fat is for the average human body, I have to admit that it took me a while to get past the depth of the melted butter and cream to even be able to consider the thinking behind Banting (named after an obese mortician whose weight and life took a turn around after following this way of eating). I’m glad I did, this book is a great way to inform and entice you to try this revolutionary approach to eating – with text by Tudor Caradoc-Davies which is easy to read, amusing and fun, great recipes from David Grier and Jonno Proudfoot and photography by Craig Fraser bringing the food to luscious life.
The Real Meal Revolution is well worth checking out if you are thinking of making some changes to the way you eat – even you aren’t , you’ll find scrumptious recipes between its pages, anyway.
