Val de Vie Estate invites visitors to take in a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere whilst browsing delightful offerings, from food and wine to clothing and jewellery, amongst other eye-catching items, at its monthly Sunday market. Furthermore, visitors can look forward to a unique experience as polo matches are held at each market, and this weekend, on the 7th of February, one of South Africa’s most loved artists, Majozi will be performing live.

Set in the exquisite Paarl-Franschhoek Valley, and only 40 minutes from Cape Town, the market  is the opportune outing for families to break away from city life or simply to enjoy a refreshing change of scenery; the perfect day-getaway.

The market is held on the Polo Pavilion’s terrace and offers shady spots and an indoor space where visitors can unwind and enjoy Majozi’s melodies and the excitement of the polo match while sipping bubbly. There is also much entertainment for children to look forward to, and the fun remains a surprise as activities change each month.

In keeping with the standard that Franschhoek has set as the country’s gastronomic capital, the Market at Val de Vie does not fall short of the culinary reputation that the region has earned. Visitors can look forward to chocolate and bubbly pairings and other treats such as freshly squeezed juices and smoothies, light lunches and sweet indulgences, as well as wine and local beer.
