La Vie en Rose
La Vie en Rose is alfresco dining at its best.
Literally meaning ‘life in pink’, La Vie en Rose owners, Rony Ezerzer and Yanky Woolf, have a philosophy of looking at life through rose-tinted glasses, and this outlook is most definitely reflected in the style, service and ambience of the restaurant.
Going the the extra mile to make any event a memorable one, the restaurant plays host to kitchen teas, baby showers and birthday celebrations almost every weekend, and they can tailor-make menus for your party, as well as assist with personalised décor.
While there is indoor seating available, you will get the best of La Vie en Rose when sitting outside in the garden during warmer weather. And, with its floral theme (almost every dish on the menu is named after a rose) it is a charming option for spring dining.
The breakfast menu at La Vie en Rose is vast, with almost every egg dish you could imagine on offer, as well as a great selection of freshly-baked pastries. A must-try is their twist on French toast – a bagel dipped in rose-infused batter and topped with fresh fruit and berry mint coulis.
While the restaurant has always offered breakfast and lunch, they recently opened their doors to serve dinner too. Stars of the starter menu include chicken livers pan-fried in a Moroccan-style Napolitano sauce, with a dash of cream, served on crisp, thinly-sliced ciabatta, or a camembert wheel dipped in rose syrup and sesame seeds and gently pan fried.
For mains, there are many options to choose from, including a gourmet burger selection, pastas, and a great salad selection, with the option of designing your own salad if you so wish.
For those with a sweet tooth, make sure you leave space for dessert. From black, pitted cherries flambéed in Cointreau and served with mascarpone cheese to Toblerone chocolate wrapped in phyllo pastry, flash fried, and served on a berry-mint coulis and cream, La Vie en Rose serves decadent and creative puddings.
