Explore Vines & Savour Wines at Van Loveren Estate
Van Loveren, a name synonymous with tradition and passion in crafting exceptional wines, invites visitors to immerse themselves in an unforgettable experience amidst the picturesque Robertson Valley this festive season.
There is something for everyone – from de-alcoholised wines and vegan tasting platters to grape juice pairing for children.
The Van Loveren Estate
Founded by Hennie Retief in 1937, the farm was named in honour of Christina van Loveren, a maternal ancestor of his new wife. This historical legacy remains at the heart of the farm, with the brand symbol ‘VRL’ proudly placing the Retief family at the centre of Van Loveren.
With over 1000 hectares of vineyards, the terroir ensures the highest quality of wines. Van Loveren implemented the ‘vine by post’ trellising method, becoming the first wine farm in the valley to do so. This method ensures that the vines receive optimal sunlight, significantly enhancing grape quality and contributing to the character of the wines produced.
