Following on from his experience working on a number of estates around the world, Managing Partner, Kevin Arnold, was intimately involved in the design and development of the estate from an early stage.
He was set on the idea that the planning should be around an inner courtyard and reflect a certain Italian feel in the architecture. The heart and soul of a great wine is formed through the vines with their roots set deep in the soil. Waterford wines mature in a winery that has heart and soul.
The Waterford label was launched in 1998 with a Cabernet Sauvignon. This Helderberg Cabernet Sauvignon 2011 vintage is a classic.
On the nose: showing characteristic stone earthy tones with strong red berry fruit.
On the palate: the wine is elegantly structured with a typically tight and dry tannin structure.
