Rose

The first wines under the Vondeling label were produced in 2005, but this wine is the first Rosé to be added to their range. All the wines from this farm are of a high quality at astoundingly pocket friendly prices. The culture of drinking Rosé in summer is rapidly increasing and it is probably being helped along nicely by the fact that the vast majority of these pretty pink numbers have a relatively low alcohol level and sit at price points that don’t hurt the bank balance at all.

This example is made primarily from Merlot and the specific vineyard selected for this wine is nearly 20 years old. Great care is taken in the vineyards to ensure that sufficient sunlight and water supply to preserve the natural acidity, freshness and vibrancy of the grapes. It smells of rose petals and a tropical fruit salad and the taste is equally sublime. This is really a sexy wine with even a bit of strawberries and pomegranate on the palate. Enjoy this with friends around a Mediterranean tapas table and cheers to the good life!
