Spicy, Wholesome Winter Nibble

  • 100 g raw unsalted almonds
  • 100 g raw unsalted pecan nuts
  • 50 g black sunflower seeds
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) butter, melted
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) smoked paprika
  • ½ tsp (2.5 ml) chilli powder
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) brown sugar
  • ½ tsp (2.5 ml) salt

Preheat the oven to 180 °C.

Spread out the nuts and seeds on a baking tray and toast until slightly brown. Take out of the oven and pour over the melted butter.

Mix the remaining ingredients together and add to the nuts. Give it a good toss and serve with lovely red wine or a winter warmer cocktail, such as like gluhwein.
