Roasted Brown Mushrooms Topped with Mince and Cheese Sauce
The best way to start off a dinner party!

2 large brown mushrooms, cleaned
olive oil, for drizzling
salt and freshly milled pepper
¾ C (185 ml) Bolognese sauce (see Traditional Spaghetti Bolognese recipe)
2/5 C (100 ml) ready-made cheese sauce
grated Cheddar cheese, for sprinkling
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Place the mushrooms upside down on a tray and drizzle with some olive oil. Season with salt and pepper. Top each mushroom with a spoonful of Bolognese sauce followed by the cheese sauce. Sprinkle with some grated Cheddar and roast for 25–30 minutes or until the mushrooms are cooked and the cheese is bubbling and golden brown.
Serve with a fresh green salad.
