Pork, Sage, Prune and Onion Kebabs with a Sticky Honey-and-Mustard Marinade

These super yummy pork kebabs have all the right tastes and trimmings!

  • 1 kg pork steaks, cut into large chunks
  • 20 large sage leaves
  • 1 packet (250 g) seedless prunes
  • 1 large red onion, cut into eighths

Marinade

  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) honey
  • juice of ½ lemon
  • 1 Tbsp (15 ml) olive oil
  • 2 Tbsp (30 ml) Dijon mustard
  • Sea salt and freshly ground black pepper

Alternately skewer the pork, sage leaves, prunes and onion.

Mix the marinade ingredients together and pour over the skewers. Allow to marinate for at least 1 hour.

Braai over hot coals, turning every 2 minutes, until golden brown and crispy. Baste with the remaining marinade as you go.
