Nutty Banana Smoothie
A great option for an on-the-go breakfast

4 ripe bananas, frozen (freezing is optional)
4 Tbsp (60 ml) almond nut butter
2 C (500 ml) almond milk
dash of cinnamon
2 Tbsp (30 ml) honey
4-6 almonds, crushed to garnish
honey for drizzling
Peel and roughly chop the bananas, place into a packet and freeze. Fresh bananas can be used, but using the frozen version gives the smoothie a great consistency.
Place the frozen bananas, nut butter, milk, cinnamon and honey into a blender and whizz until completely smooth.
Drizzle the serving glasses with honey.
Pour in the smoothie mixture, garnish with crushed almonds and enjoy!
Variations: Add dark chocolate pieces for an additional bit of indulgence. Replace the almonds with any other nuts. Replace the almond milk with regular or coconut milk, or a non-dairy alternative.
