
Golden Milk healthy Fat Shake
A fat shake with a turmeric twist! The good fats from the avocado oil boost energy and help suppress hunger – perfect for a low carb/high fat diet.

Ingredients
2 tins (800 ml) coconut milk
½ C (125 ml) Westfalia Butter-flavoured Avocado Oil
2 Tbsp (30 ml) honey
4 tsp (20 ml) turmeric
2 cinnamon sticks
1 knob ginger, sliced
seeds from 1 vanilla pod
pinch cayenne pepper
pinch salt
To Serve
Method
Place all of the ingredients into a small saucepan and simmer over medium heat for 5 minutes. Strain the mixture and blend the liquid with a hand blender for 1 minute.
To Serve
Top each serving with a sprinkling of ground cinnamon.
Tip: Store the mixture in the fridge for up to 3 days and reheat portions as needed.
Tip: To make this recipe vegan, simply replace the regular milk with almond milk and the honey with Agave nectar or maple syrup.
