
Chocolate & Hazelnut Spread
This homemade hazelnut spread is totally decadent and much more delicious than any store-bought version.

Ingredients
150 g hazelnuts
2 Tbsp (30 ml) NoMU Cocoa Powder
80 g icing sugar
½ tsp (2.5 ml) NoMU Vanilla Paste
½ tsp (2.5 ml) vegetable oil
1/3 C (80 ml) fresh cream
a clean, sterilised 250 g glass jar
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 °C.
Place the hazelnuts on a baking tray and roast in the oven for 5 minutes until fragrant. Remove and rub vigorously with a tea towel to remove as much of the skin as possible. Grind the hazelnuts in a food processor until they form a smoothish paste.
Melt the dark chocolate slowly over a double boiler or in the microwave. Set aside and allow to cool.
Add the chocolate and all of the rest of the ingredients to the blender and continue to blend until as smooth as possible.
Scoop the mixture into a sterilised jar, seal and keep at room temperature. Decorate with brown paper, twine and a printable label. Gift to someone you love!
