
Chai Tea Cakes
Chai tea cakes are the ultimate tea time treat. They work perfectly to satisfy your sweet treat craving.

Ingredients
280 g flour
250 g sugar
1 Tbsp (15 ml) baking powder
½ tsp (2.5 ml) salt
110 g butter, melted
2 eggs, lightly beaten with a fork
1 C (250 ml) Chai tea
made with milk
Method
Preheat the oven to 180 °C and grease 2 x Madeleine pans.
In a mixing bowl, sift together the flour, sugar, baking powder and salt. Add the melted butter, eggs and Chai tea.
Mix until combined.
Spoon the batter into the prepared pans and bake for 10–15 minutes. Turn out and serve hot, wrapped in napkins.
Tip:
It does not matter whether your Chai tea comes in bags or powder form. If using bags, steep in lukewarm milk. If using the powder form, heat the milk, add the powdered tea and stir to combine.
