Jan Hendrik Hosts an Intimate Chef’s Table Experience with Nespresso

South Africa’s first Michelin Star Chef, Jan Hendrik van der Westhuizen, played host to an exceptional and intimate chef’s table with Nespresso to celebrate the launch of the new permanent Nespresso Barista Creations coffee range.

A select few foodies, media and influencers got the exclusive invite to explore a world of flavour at the chef’s latest venture – JAN Innovation Studio in Cape Town.

A Chef’s Table with Nespresso

The group of knowledgeable guests were treated to coffee-infused cocktails and canapes upon arrival launching into the evening with a flavour explosion. After a warm welcome from Jan Hendrik, guests were seated and soon began their journey through the coffee and cuisine pairing of a lifetime.

Seven incredible courses were enjoyed, including creative dishes such as a beautifully crafted frozen apple with haddock latte, cured venison loin, seared with rosemary and espresso jus, and a cheese and wine feast table that wowed guests with its creativity, variety and opulence.

 Jan Hendrik certainly created a fine dining experience to remember and more than rose to the challenge of creating innovative dishes inspired by the flavour profiles of Nespresso’s Barista Creations.
