Die Arnoldus

Hermanus Pieterfontein arnoldus_2009_wine-1

Nestled between the mountains some 50km’s from Cape Agulhas and a mere 25km’s across Walker Bay where on a clear day – from Hermanus’ Old Harbour – the highest peak you’ll see across the ocean is our farm in Sondagskloof.

As the only active wine-producing farm in Sondagskloof we believe good earth makes better wine and are proud to be wines of origin Sondagskloof.

On the nose: the wine has rich, sweet plum scent which is complemented by the spiciness as well as the earthiness of the fynbos. In addition, there is a hint of black olive which forms part of the wines overall aromatics.

On the palate: the flavour of the wine is quite intense yet is tinged with purity at the same time. This ensures that this red blend has a persistent and lingering finish.
