As the sun sets a little earlier these days we decided it was worth once last push at enjoying every ounce of summer we could. This issue is an inspiring collection of food on the go.

Karen Dudley from the Kitchen in Woodstock show us how to make the ultimate sarmie, Tina Bester does pop in your mouth picnic pies, we are On the Road again with Illanique van Aswegen’s recipes that all fit into that straw bicycle carrier you’ve been meaning to dust off all summer and Luisa Farelo whips up some of those Italian sandwiches we so love more commonly known as Pizzas.

Crush finds out that Cape Townians are spoilt for choice when it comes to perfect picnic spots. The Crush Cellar is jam packed with new wines that will help fill the remaining space of you picnic basket or the cellar at home.

The team travels from Obz to Woodies and are blown away with the creativity that is found in this relatively small industrious area. We welcome guest chef Rudi Liebenberg executive Chef from the Mount Nelson into the issue with his playful thoughts on yoghurt.

There are also couple of great prizes squeezed in between all this knife-bendingly delicious content.
