Mourvèdre Rosé
Rose
Klapmuts, Stellenbosch
2013
I just love the packaging of this wine – it’s not only the simple elegance, but it tells a story, and most important of all, it gives me the opportunity to really appreciate the beautiful, light rosewater colour of the wine. The pipe represents the farm, the flower the extensive gardens and the bird, nature of course.
When visiting the farm one experiences a true sense of freedom. One can stroll, enjoy and witness as much as one dares – fruit, vegetables, vineyards, herbs, spices, birds and many other typical farm encounters. There are 200ha to keep one busy all day and the garden alone stretches over more than three kilometres. You can even spend the night if you would like to extend the happiness for a little longer.
On the nose: the rosé greets you with a strawberry scent.
On the palate: combined with earthy notes and a touch of spice. it is elegant and light, perfect for a romantic summer’s evening.
